A typical walk near a waterfall nearby? Or do you have a plan to win a difficult summit? In any case, it is very important to provide the right equipment. Open space is a very unpredictable place, and the smallest things can make the difference between a small event and a big problem.

Make sure you use these basic walking essentials for daily walking:

Sun protection

Even if it predicts cloudy weather, it does not mean that you do not need adequate sun protection. A good sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, SPF lip balm and a brimmed hat are all essential to protecting yourself. Bad sunburn and cracked lips are not things you want to have fun after a day of walking.

Food and snacks

You need all the energy you need to prepare your body for the daily walk. So after a good pre-meal meal, make sure you have enough snacks to keep your calories along the way. Energy bars, dried fruits, spicy fruits and nuts are good choices. If you want something heavier for lunch or dinner, bring a sandwich or freeze dried food. Do not forget to have enough water with you!

This is not an idea you want to keep hydrated during your walk. Water cools you when you warm up and helps you warm up when the air gets colder. Water also prevents injuries because it helps muscles and joints function properly.

Extra clothes

Climate and temperature can change quickly outdoors, so it’s best to have extra clothing on hand (to change or layer). It is ideal to have an extra layer of insulating clothing with you to help you warm up if the temperature drops.

First aid box

Safety should be your top priority when you are away from home, which is why packing a first aid kit is so important. You can buy a pre-packaged kit, which is a lightweight option and usually carries complete accessories for minor injuries.

Even if you do not intend to leave the darkness behind, always have a good source of light with you. Often, walks take longer than expected. Also, bring a small fire kit with you if you need to start a fire while walking.

To navigation

Compass and map are essential for any walk, even if you are walking with a group or guide. It will be useful for when you get lost or if you need to find a way back. Just make sure you know how to use them beforehand!

Have a safe and smooth adventure by bringing these essentials for a day walk!
