The Mountain Standards Review team at Climber Magazine recently tested the Grivel Lambda HMS twin carbine. While it did not score well, it proved to be great for exactly what it was designed for, making anchors and hitting with a tubular device.

From review:

“In a tube-style belay, the Lambda’s spacious curves and automatic locking were beautifully done.”

“The bent gate makes it easy to fasten the rope to the important parts of the gear, and the small 11 kN axis rating means that the binary can make the biggest fall I can do, even in cross-country.” “I was building an anchor for a hoop from a weak position.”
